CCPA (California Consumer Protection Act) is set to go into effect January 2020. This is a California law, modeled after GDPR, to put strict measures in place to protect personal data and to allow individuals to access their personal data and understand how it is processed, managed and sold. Nevada and Maine are also following suit in the near future. Stay tuned to the comments as we look to monitor more states passing similar privacy/protection acts for individuals, and a federal version of it becoming a consideration as well.
